Rai Way, together with Microsoft, Equinix Italia, Data4, STACK Infrastructure, Digital Realty, Vantage Data Centers and CBRE Data Centers, is one of the founding members of IDA (Italian Data Center Association), the first association that aims to be the voice at institutional level of Data Center developers and operators in Italy

In a market context characterised by an increasingly central role of Data Centers, strategic infrastructures for the competitiveness of the digital ecosystem, the foundation of IDA represents an important step in the direction of greater formalisation of the Italian sector, fourth in importance at European level (Source: Politecnico di Milano Observatory's conference"Data Centers for the Development of the Italian Digital Ecosystem").

Among the objectives of the newly-established association is to promote the activation of processes that facilitate the construction of safe and energy-efficient Data Centers, with full respect for environmental sustainability. IDA aspires to become a reference for the sector, not only as a spokesperson at an institutional level for the needs of its members, but also to define standards, norms, and know-how in the sector and to promote the training and development of the skills necessary to operate in a highly professional manner in the sector.

A business in which Rai Way is building an infrastructure of interconnected Data Centers to offer services for digital transformation with low latency and high flexibility. This infrastructure, distributed nationwide, carrier neutral and connected to the largest national fibre optic infrastructures, will consist of more than 15 Data Centers divided between Edge Data Centers, dislocated and designed to meet the needs of proximity and low latency, and more extensive Data Centers designed for hyperscaler operators, able to ensure infrastructure scalability and speed of deployment of highly customised solutions.
